Kurt Fitzpatrick is an actor, performer, writer, and filmmaker based in New York. He has toured North America several times with his two self-written one-person shows Hooray for Speech Therapy and Rebel Without a Niche. He wrote, directed, and starred in the feature film Kin, which played as part of the New Filmmakers Series in New York, as well as in other festivals.
Kurt performed his one-person show Rebel Without a Niche in the Frigid Fest in Manhattan (Feb 27-Mar 9), at Venture Theatre in De Pere, Wisconsin (Mar 21-29), and The ONE Festival at Teatro La Tea in Manhattan (Apr 7-20).
October 2007
Kurt made his Los Angeles debut performing at the UkeLady’s Ponyshow at the Theatre Asylum. He performed his classic Rebel Without a Niche jelly donut bit in the “Redneck ‘n’ Trailer Trash Night." Also while in LA, Kurt acted in short film directed by Dave Joseph.
June-August 2007
Kurt toured Canada, performing in Ottawa, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, and Edmonton. Rebel Without a Niche received a rave review in the Ottawa Citizen, and Hooray for Speech Therapy received four-star reviews from the Winnipeg Free Press and Saskatoon Star Phoenix.
